I've been road-testing scooters for magazines and newspapers since 1991.
When it's a new model being launched by a manufacturer at an exotic location it can be the best part of my job.
When it's riding around in the rain with a hang-over on sombody's precious vintage scooter - with controls in the wrong places - it . . . well it isn't quite as good. . .
