INVENTING
Yes occasionally I have the odd good idea and we manufacture a prototype which gets used and forgotten, but in 2007 one of my ideas goes into full-scale mass production as part of the Weise motorcycle clothing range produced by Fowlers of Bristol.
My idea is a rain gutter for the sleeves of a bike jacket which prevents rain running down the arm and soaking into your gloves. Instead the rain gathers in a sewn-in rubber gutter and drips off.
The rain gutter has been incorporated in the top-of-the-range Dynastar II jacket where it has been called the Weise WCS (Water Channelling System) and it may well find its way on to other models if it proves popular.
